Greg Pearson

Chief Executive Officer

Greg is a founder member of Grit Real Estate Income Group and has been instrumental in sustaining its rapid growth since inception in 2014. As Founder of Grit, Greg recognised the significant demand from multinational companies looking for quality real estate solutions in Africa and the limited supply of experienced developers to fulfil their requirements. This led to the creation of Gateway Delta Development Holdings Ltd as a development company of which Greg is a co-founder.

​Prior to Grit, Greg was an executive at AECOM responsible for expanding its African footprint. His hands-on experience has allowed him to develop an expansive strategic business network with local and global developers as well as influential industry players on the continent and beyond. Greg’s expertise includes development management, cost planning, procurement, time management and traditional project management of major engineering and building projects. He has successfully completed a series of developments across the office, retail, leisure, education and healthcare sectors and has experience in over 40 African countries. ​

With his extensive track record and successful delivery of developments on the continent, Greg will be able to further these development opportunities in his new role. His relationships with key global players looking for Real Estate solutions on the continent will place the development business as the go to in the real estate market on the African continent. ​

Krishnen Kistnen

Chief Financial Officer

Krish has more than 10 years’ financial accounting experience, 3 years’ of which are specific to the real estate industry. He was the managing director of Southern View Finance Mauritius, a company which specialized in credit risk assessment for micro lending in South Africa, where he was responsible for implementing the corporate financial strategy and policy.

Krish further had oversight and co-ordination responsibility on all fiscal reporting activities, the design and monitor of financial key performance indicators as well as the supervision of activities and co-ordination of the independent auditors. Additional responsibilities included the design, monitor and maintenance of financial and internal controls, practices and processes.

Prior to Southern View Finance, Krishnen held the position of Audit Supervisor at BDO in their Mauritius and Audit Manager in BDO Cape Town offices where he liaised directly with financial staff to evaluate key business processes and supervised interim and financial year-end audits, charged with the communication of all findings to key client staff such as Financial Directors and Partners.

He serviced the following blue chip clients such as Mauritius Commercial Bank Ltd, Development Bank of Mauritius Ltd, Forges Tardieu Ltd, Airports of Mauritius Ltd, Motorite Insurance Administrators, Ogilvy Africa BV and Quirk South Africa has seen him gaining valuable and varied accounting and financial experience.

Shevira Bissessor

Chief Operating Officer

BSc Property Development, BSc Hons Quantity Surveying

Shevira joined GREA in July 2019 working closely with the Chief Executive Officer to identify and capitalise on long-term opportunities that support sustainable business growth. She provides leadership & oversight on development of real estate projects and construction management while maintaining control of the diverse business.

She is also involved in strategic business development; project finance & execution; feasibility studies; operational support; internal control governance and risk mitigation oversight.

Prior to joining GREA, Shevira was a Director at AECOM, where she spent 16 years of her career and grew through the ranks from a Candidate Quantity Surveyor to a Senior Director responsible for the company’s Commercial Market Sector.

Her responsibilities included short to long-term strategic planning initiatives for growth, business development, AECOM’s continuous capability advancement & technical oversight on projects to ensure a high quality service delivery. Her oversight was key to aligning the African business within the commercial space with the rest of the global business.

Shevira is a recipient of the Golden Key Award from the International Honours Society and currently also lectures at the University of Cape Town’s Business School as a subject matter expert on Property Development Feasibility Studies. Further, She is an assessor on the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors board, a member of the South African Council for Quantity Surveying Profession and the Association for South African Quantity Surveyors.

Having distinguished herself at a very young age in a male dominated industry, she is passionate about mentoring the next generation of talented women to reach the top of their chosen fields.

Andre Janari

Chief Investment Officer

BComm, NDip Real Estate

Andre has more than a decade’s experience in the property sector, mainly as senior transactor in the Real Estate Finance divisions of the Standard Bank Group and Nedbank Corporate Property Finance. During his tenure, Andre provided customised property finance solutions, innovative deal-making and product structuring whilst developing strategic relationships with well-known developers and investors in the South African industry.

Before joining Standard Bank Group in 2015, Andre gained valuable experience working in a listed environment at Delta Property Fund, one of the largest office REITs (by GLA) listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. As Senior Investment Manager, Andre was responsible for maximising total return for each assigned asset through the analysis of property efficiencies and identifying opportunities for improved performance. He was a key member of the team that grew the portfolio from 20 properties at listing to 78 properties within a period of 18 months.

Andre was also part of the team that was instrumental in Grit Real Estate Income Group’s listing on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange in July 2014.

Craig Glutz

Head of Developments

Diploma in A1-Tech Draughting (distinction), N3-N4 National Technical Diploma

Craig joined GREA in 20 March 2020 with significant project and construction management experience across technical and service industries in Africa. His track record of successful project delivery includes 12 years in Southern Africa and five years in West Africa where he worked across commercial, residential, industrial, oil & gas and mining projects.

Craig immerses himself fully in each project and proactively manages diverse departments, skillsets and personalities to ensure successful delivery against all stakeholders’ expectations.

He has been an active lead in the development of the full scope of consulting services including project management, quantity surveying as well as mechanical, electrical & plumbing engineering.
