This award-winning 90-unit diplomatic apartment and town home community development custom developed on behalf of the US Embassy in Nairobi, marks GREA’s first development Kenya. Construction ran for a period of 23 months with completion in September 2022. Approximately 1,100 direct and 500 indirect job opportunities were created during this period. Materials and equipment were sourced locally as far as possible, with only specialist items being imported.
Aevitas Group, in collaboration with a local Kenyan architecture firm, Design Partnership Ltd, were tasked to design this high-quality development. The Master Plan is designed to provide extensive areas of green open space which are seamlessly integrated into the design of the buildings. These areas provide valuable amenities to the complex which include a club house, gym, pool, play areas, parks, and walking/running tracks to provide sense of well-being for the residents.
This development not only boasts state-of-the-art active and passive security features, but also a state-of-the-art fire protection system, and is designed to meet the International Building Code.
The buildings make use of energy efficient lighting and electrical equipment, and state of the art water purification, conservation and re-use methodologies, as well as high-tech waste management equipment
