About the founders

Bronwyn Knight and Greg Pearson, aware of the strong demand for world-class corporate real estate development across Africa, established Grit Real Estate Income Group* (“Grit”) in 2014.

After meeting Gateway Partners** co-founders, V Shankar and Anil Dua, the idea for a specialist real estate development company gained traction.

The entrepreneurial zeal of the four founders, coupled with their deep international relationships, long experience and genuine passion for the African continent resulted in the creation of GREA (“Gateway Africa”) in January 2018.

GREA is a vehicle that provides investors direct exposure to high-yield US$ lease income by partnering with international corporations and governments to meet their long-term real estate needs in Africa.

* Grit is a leading pan-African real estate company focused on investing in and actively managing a diversified portfolio of assets in carefully selected African countries (excluding South Africa).
